To improve the quality of life of the poor and marginalized, by enhancing food and social security, through an empowered Civil Society in West Bengal and Orissa. In practical terms, the six elements of this mission are:
Sustainable use/consumption and management of local natural resources
Food security through promotion and practice of organic farming and use of nature-friendly technology
Secure livelihood opportunities through access to and use of new skills
Assured access to quality education, protected water supply, adequate health services, drainage and sanitation
Develop strong village institutions whereby the entire community is involved in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of development work.
